Nobody deletes a link on purpose. It happens on the way to something else.
A product goes, the links stay
You delete or archive a product, or change its handle. Menus, blog posts and other product descriptions still point to the old address.
An image file disappears
A file is removed from your admin, a supplier changes the image you hotlinked, or an app you uninstalled was serving it.
Old content keeps old URLs
Links typed into pages and blog posts never update themselves. They break quietly and stay broken until someone clicks.
Repair the content, not just the symptom.
Redirect apps catch a visitor after they hit a dead URL. AssetGuard goes to where the link lives, in the product description, collection or blog article, and fixes it there.

Common questions
Does AssetGuard change my theme files?
No. AssetGuard never edits your theme code. It reads and repairs the content you manage in the admin: product descriptions and images, collection descriptions and images, and blog articles.
What does AssetGuard scan?
Your products, collections and blog articles, read through the Shopify admin. For each broken link or missing image it shows the exact item it was found in.
How is AssetGuard different from a redirect app?
A redirect app catches a visitor after they land on a dead URL and sends them somewhere else. AssetGuard finds the link where it lives, for example in a product description, and fixes it there, so the broken link is gone instead of redirected.
Does AssetGuard create URL redirects?
No. It repairs the link or image in the content itself. If other websites still link to an old URL, Shopify's own URL redirects (Content > Menus > View URL redirects) are the right tool for that.
Can I try it without installing anything?
Yes. The free broken link checker reads your public sitemap and checks up to 50 public pages. It needs no install and no email, and it only lists problems. It does not fix them.
What does it cost?
There is a free plan with 2 scans per month. Starter is $9 per month with 3 scans per day and a 7-day free trial. Pro is $29 per month with unlimited scans. Shopify bills the charges in USD; the App Store listing has the current details.
